Our Mission

Why Ricky's Fund?

Our non-profit organization is dedicated to honoring the legacy of Ricky Christiansen who passed unexpectedly in July 2023,  a passionate supporter of dance education and a beloved dance dad, uncle, and brother.

Our mission is to honor his legacy by providing scholarships and support to dancers pursuing further education or professional opportunities in dance. We believe in the transformative power of dance and strive to help talented and committed dancers achieve their dreams and reach their full potential. Through our programs and initiatives, we aim to make dance education and training more accessible and inclusive and to foster a vibrant and supportive community of dancers and dance enthusiasts.

Our ultimate goal is to honor Ricky’s memory by empowering the next generation of dancers, and by ensuring that his passion for dance lives on for years to come.

Short Term Vision

The short-term goal of Ricky's Funds is to raise funds to support the basic operational needs of our non-profit organization. We aim to ensure that our organization has the resources necessary to continue positively impacting the community. Additionally, we strive to provide scholarships to dancers who show the passion and work ethic required to pursue their dance-related goals and may not have the financial means to do so. We understand that pursuing a dance career can be financially challenging, and we are committed to providing additional financial assistance to those who need it. Through these efforts, we hope to empower and support individuals dedicated to making a difference in dance.

Long Term Vision

Our organization's long-term vision is to extend our scholarship program by providing increased funds to a larger number of dancers, particularly those at the pre-professional and collegiate level. Additionally, we aspire to inspire future generations of dancers and those who may not have access to dance by getting involved in the community.
